The Very First Dodge Viper revealed & how it got its name

The new 2013 SRT Viper is the 5th generation of the iconic American sports car. In fact you may not know this but the very first Viper Roadster wasn’t even a V-10…it was a V-8. Welcome to TFLcar’s Viper week. Over 5 days we’ll be featuring a new Viper video every day. Today we continue with a video that profiles the very first Viper Roadster of them all, as well as the new Viper‘s Chief Powertrain engineer. Why? Because he’s one of the few engineers that’s been with the Viper program at Dodge since 1989 when the very first Viper Mule was conceived and built. Check out this video to learn about the early days of the Viper and how it got it’s name.

Review/Breakdown: 1971 Plymouth hemicuda Convertible

Ahh, a bright yellow and white 1971 Plymouth ‘cuda convertible, powered by the legendary 426 Hemi V8. Truly a fantasy machine for just about every red-blooded gear head, Plymouth fan or not. Only 11 were built with the Hemi, and it’s important to note that just 374 1971 ‘cuda convertibles were produced in total, so they are pretty rare, no matter what’s under the hood. This combination of an angry Hemi in a summertime fun drop-top ‘cuda might seem like a mismatch, but that’s part of the mystique of these cars. From The Brothers Collection.

The Torque Multiplier Lug Wrench Is One Awesome Device!

We have all been there, a lug or a bolt has been tightened so hard that it is nearly impossible to get it off, and the more we try it appears that we are just pissing it off, and there is no way that it will give.

Not to get into the physics of it, but the simple rules are these, when you apply force slowly, it has more time to spread all over the area and help perform the task.

Based on this principle, the so-called Torque Multiplier is one hell of a tool, as it helps us get any bolt or lug off the thread without breaking a sweat.

With a gear ratio of 1:78, this heavy-duty tool is capable of unscrewing the most stubborn bolts and will make the use of an impact wrench nearly obsolete.
Don’t believe us? Well check out the video and tell us what you think of it?

Street Race Gone Wrong…Trans Am Gets LOOSE And GOES Towards The CROWD!

Street Race Gone Wrong…Trans AM Gets LOOSE and GOES Towards the CROWD!

We have said it a million times but we have to say it again, “Motorsport Is Dangerous” and there are just no two ways about it.

The danger of a big metal mass moving without control at a very high rate of speed is ever-present when people go racing.

Yes the drivers are usually pretty skilled and have big experience with taming their metal beasts but being a racing driver means that you will be pushing the vehicle past its limits and lose control at some point.

In order to prevent injuries when this happens the organizers do their best to work up a safety plan for everybody to follow consisted of a number of precautions points.

What happens at illegal racing? Well that’s a thing that is totally up to the common sense of the spectators, and their experience around a track.

The more experienced ones, the ones that have seen number of crashes will know to stand close to the starting line where the speeds are much lower and the car is easier to control, the rest, well just like in this video will have to rely on their luck.

Check out what to and what not to do at the illegal races.

5 Types of Teenage Drivers

Being a teenager is probably the craziest time of our lives. We go through so many emotions, puberty, first loves (maybe), and start gaining a little independence. However, above all, we learn one skill that we’ll carry with us for the rest of our lives — driving. It can be mundane to some, thrilling to others, or downright terrifying; however, driving is a worthwhile experience that I hope many of you will learn to enjoy.
