The concept of the muscle car is as all-American as, well, apple pie. In the immediate aftermath of World War II, while Europe struggled to right itself after a difficult period and Asia sought to adapt to modern realities, the American automotive industry caught its breath and set to work to meet the growing demand for performance-minded cars among young consumers. The beginning of the 1950s saw new V8 engines, much more powerful and efficient than before, appear in American automobiles.

kinda cool, probably powerful but maybe like # 20 something at best on my all time great muscle cars. Top 5 at least are all Mopars followed by Corvettes, Mustangs, a AMC perhaps, a Cougar, a late 60’s camero, a ’79 Trans Am,

To me a musclecar is a car with over 300hp and usually a straight line car. Cars like Mustangs, vettes, camaro’s, firebirds, are sportcars, good on the track not the strip.
Well I am lucky enough to own an iconic 1969 Musclecar ! It is an original 1969 Charger R/T 426 Hemicar and beautifully restored!
