BREAKING: The Dodge Demon Coming With 909 HP

The Dodge Demon is officially the fastest muscle car in the world – not that we expected anything less.
Throughout its never-ending teaser campaign, Dodge has been portraying the Challenger SRT Demon as the most hardcore muscle car ever made. Essentially, it’s a demonic drag racer for the road. In other words, it will make the Hellcat before it seem tame by comparison.

    26. The is a Corvette a “Muscle Car” or a “Sports Car” debate huh? To get technical, read an advertisement for the 1953 Corvette. It had a 6 cylinder engine and 2 seats. Dubbed “Americas First Sports Car.” The “Muscle Car” formula is a bit different. Supposed to be a Mid-Sized US Car, with 2 doors, 4 or more seats, a powerful front mounted V8, with RWD. The ’64 GTO is a good example. The Corvette did evolve into a V8 in ’55, but never got those rear seats. JS.

    30. Well if you all want to put a brand on the fastest muscle car there’s this Red 69 Camaro that is the fastest stock bodied car in America maybe even the world. Yep it has some modifications to it but so do all the cars you guys are talking about! But this car has proven itself in many ways and you’ll never convince me another car is better untill that car accomplishes all that R.J. Gotleibs #1 Big Red Camaro has acomplished.

  13. Nice. That’s awesome. I’ve heard rumours of the new GT 500 having 1000hp. They have tested a twin turbo 5.0 at a reliable 1000. But we will see. 909 is kick ass though. Would love to plant my foot into the party petal in a demon.

    1. Ford already has a mustang with over 1000 hp. It’s called the Shelby 1000. It’s the step up from the Super Snake. It’s been around for a while actually, but with a 200k price tag you don’t hear much about it

    3. It’s built by Shelby not Ford buy a gt500 and send it to Shelby American with about $150K and you’ll get back a 1000 hp true Shelby Mustang

    + 221 hp over hellcat
    404 cubic inches. Which is about 6.6 liters.

  41. Look at the Yenko Camaro. Yes it has roughly 100hp less than the Demon. But the Camaro is 700-800 pounds less. That extra 100hp in the Demon isn’t going to cut it with the Yenko.

Dimitri Vasilaras just bear in mind the name sonny leonard. he has the the 1000 cubic inch v8. over 1000hp in standard form he has smaller? 800 cubic inch road engines if you dont know those you arent a true muscle car fan. a HEMI engine isnt new tech, ford and chevy had the tech at the same time. and you cant get that much out of a hemi road engine before it becomes unstreetable.
