1/2 MILE DRAG RACE: Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Vs Dodge Viper SRT
No matter whether they are amongst your most favorite rides or not, you have got to admit that when there is the drag race challenge between two muscle cars from the same brand, that are practically sharing many features with one another, and it is impossible not to be interested if you are a real muscle car fan, or even just a regular enthusiast.
When the cars in questions are both in their original stock shape and form, then the stakes are really big! Just as in this case.
What we have here is one stock specimen of the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, versus a Dodge Viper SRT, both of them just as they had come out of the assembly line.
Which means, the Hellcat has the well known 6.2 liter supercharged V8 engine under the hood, that can deliver 707 horsepower and about 650 pound feet of torque.
And the Viper SRT is powered by the 8.4 liter V8 that is boosting 645 horsepower and about 600 pound feet of torque.
Place your bets!

Viper will be lighter and quicker off the mark
Viper
Hell Cat
Put them on a track. People with actual driving skill don’t give a shit about drag racing.
Try and focus on the content of THIS video.
Nah. If they are going to use a fuckin TRACK car to drag race a one trick pony, then they themselves aren’t concentrating on it.
oh my god found the first one in the crowd
Robert; forming complete sentences > you.
Any Tesla?
Haha yeah put a base model s out there
The Viper, because it has a V-10
What does that have to do with anything lol
Put that Viper against the demon
Love them both
Love those vipers
One car for the family and the other for sporting around. Both unique! I did expect the viper to win.
If the quarter I’d say hellcat but it being half mile that put the viper where it come to life
Probably not considering the hellcat has a higher top speed.. but the first corner its getting passed lol
Randy Tibbs, Joe Fajardo, Eddie Pikulin
Viper on the track. Both exceptional machines.
Viper is more aerodynamic
Man its like everyone behind the wheel of a hellcat doesnt know how to launch it lol

V10 vs. V8 ? not a fair line up
Driver, gear ratio, launch, and weight. All factor in.
