Oldsmobile hit its pinnacle of performance in 1970 with its 442 W-30. It was the hottest muscle car that Oldsmobile ever produced. Never again would Oldsmobile (now defunct) ever produce a performance car that would match the 1970 442 W-30’s sheer brute performance or its true muscle car mystique.

  7. A friend of mine had a 70 442 just like the one in the last 2 minutes of this video. Black with gold stripes. He bought it in 79 so it was a typical 9 year old “sort of” maintained” typical car but it was “stock” as far as we he knew and still had quite a bit of jam to it. I still can’t remember what happened to that car I believe he traded it in on the then “new” mazda RX7 which his brother was driving back home from a trip 100 miles inland and on the way back he “claims” a porcupine was in his lane and at a speed on “he claimed’ 100 moh on a slight “bend” he went airbourne off the concrete barrier and into the river.

  8. Very nice
