Well the 351C came out in Mustangs in 1970, was available with a 4 Bbls (different head casting) than it’s 2 Bbl counterpart. (So That I don’t get blasted, used this pix as reference, yes this one boast a 428)
1971 Boss 351’s were made for the straight line and did very well. I read a article a while back that some carried over to 72 and titled as such, 1972. I believe I saw one once in Antioch Ill. On the front fender it was badged Boss 351 but above it, it was decaled H.O.. Has anyone else seen one of these or know anything about this?
ThankYou Muscle Car Fan for featuring the Boss 351, these cars haven’t gotten the respect they deserve. Pictured my car featured in Popular Hot Rodding magazine
There is no such thing as a true 1971 boss. They were only produced in 69 and 70.
Jmo
Boss 351 were only made in 1971, 69 and 70’s were 302 bosses along with the 429’s,
True.
Kinda an after thought..

The Boss 351 is a beast. Rare car and was one of the fastest in the 1/4 back in the day.
I like them all…
Especially the ones that started the BOSS.
Check this out. It’s all in the setup.

My mistake boss 351 1971. Is a BOSS TOO.
I know my BOSS is nothing but race car. No bells and whistles. FORD made this car to race.
Not true. They did make a 351 boss.
Always said that Corvettes were overrated.
Another misleading title,,still not bad for a modified Boss 351 with drag radials.
Mustang with that 351 was the only mustang I ever liked. I am a Dodge guy, but the 351 is a great engine
Yes had 1 in my 72 Torino it was the cj

What they don’t tell you is that Corvette FAN was crushed when the car rolled off a tow track,FixOrRepairDaily.
Mustang is a boss
Was the Vette running?
Yes it’s boss engine…other than different water passages it’s the same head on 302&351 Boss.

I call bullshit…..the mustang stock only runs high 13s to low 14s….to run 11s it has been worked……Bette numbers are ok for stock
Also you need to shave some weight and rear suspension needs to be modified.
This is a setup. No way under normal circumstances. Plus this is NOT a stock Mustang.
Only if it is heavily modified.
My 72
Boss all the way
Not on the top end it wont
