This 1969 Boss 429 first appeared here and in Car Craft’s Nov. 2016 issue. It spent nearly 40 years stashed in a building in North Dakota waiting for a DYI restoration that wasn’t meant to be. It eventually made its way to Muscle Car Restorations in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, where it underwent an examination and detailed archaeological disassembly like one might expect when unearthing a new tomb.
