The Camaro is on the GM “F” body platform and sold as a two door Coupe or Convertible-starting in the 1966 model year. The 1969 is the last year of this first generation Camaro and either body style could be ordered as a basic, Super Sport (SS) or the Rally Sport (RS) trim option. The full arsenal of Chevrolet large and small block engines from, the economical 230 cu in six to the 427 cu in (7.0 L) V8, will fit under the hood of the rear wheel drive Camaro.
