Many of us thought they were ugly with the big nose cone.
That’s due to the poor sales (less cars produced) back in the day !!
Amazing right !
Yes , they where ugly and still are ……
Awesome
And yes now they’re worth hundreds of thousands
Those cars just looked bizzar back then and they were expensive. That’s why they didn’t sell many. Because of that, they’re worth a lot today.

Unfortunately the 440 Daytona pictured is a clone, there was no engine options on the Dayton or superbird the only engine available was the 426 hemi
Unfortunately you are wrong. 440 Magnum was the standard engine option for the 69 Daytona, if you wanted to pay more, you could get the 426 street hemi.
In fact, out of the 503 daytonas made, only about 74 of them had the Hemi
thank you Brian for correcting Cecil’s comment!
You’re welcome. I known it may seem anal to some, but being around these cars my entire life it drives me insane whan misinformation is spread.
Back when they were trying to sale Dodge Daytona’s and Superbirds, they could not give these cars aways ! At $29,995 they could not sale, I believe I remember I was some dealership selling them for $24,000. Today worth $200,000 plus ! If we only knew !!!
Those cars sold new around $3500-$4500.
But you are right, dealerships couldn’t give them away.
Meant to say sold for $2,995 new
Dealer selling for $2,400
Sorry for the numbers being wrong !!
I want one
Yes l
Sweet Ride
I didn’t like the look back when they were new and still don’t. But I would take an original six pack or hemi in a heartbeat. It’s the ugly front end. But I understand the reason behind it.
