Just obscene the value these cars have reached. Of course I’d feel pretty good right now if I’d laid out less than 5k for one new. Then had the sense to never drive it and store in climate control for 40 years. Lol

Omg!!! That’s insane 😱
Hard for me to watch Mecum Auctions too many cars the bid goes on
That is one of 11 made that last year…4 were 4 speeds and 7 were automatics…probably worth half that now, market has shifted.
cars are worth what someone is willing to pay for it, just like a painting
More fun!

Perry Crylen take a look we could of bought this for less than 5,000. When we were a kid o well
They have killed the muscle car industries with this crap. Just rich men showing off. And us poor boys can’t even get close to one now. Makes me sick. People are going to laugh about them on there way home putting that kind of money down to buy a muscle car. Yes I love them myself. But this is out of hand.
There are literally thousands of muscle cars that haven’t even hit the 100,000 mark. I would hardly call that killing it until they all become unnafordable
This kind of crap is what ruins the classics affordability .
I would immediately drive it across the country.
Someone has a lot of extra $$$, for car to sit in a showroom!!!!!!!!!!
Bryan Burnett.
not for mopar
Insane as Hell
Ouff
This was from 2014 and the subject of a “Mecum Dealmakers” show. The owner didn’t want to sell and said ‘Where am I going to find another one?” (right about that!) After putting the reserve at $3.5 mil, he said he regretted even listing it. After the car sold, he patted it on the fender with tears in his eyes, and said goodbye! It ISN’T always about the money folks, it’s about the passion.
