Plymouth Road Runner 1974 images

The ’74 Road Runner is the last year of the 2nd generation. The engine options on the table this year begin with the base 318 small block, topping off with a 440 CID big block. After ’72 no Road Runner with a 440 would be equipped with a four speed manual, although this tranny was available for engines up to 400 CID. There was one only 1974 Road Runner factory equipped with a 318 block coupled to a 4 speed manual transmission; this unique vehicle was also equipped with a Hurst shifter. The base transmission for the 318 was a three speed standard, although there were only a few were turned out by the factory in ’74. Any 440 engine in ’74 would be factory equipped with the 727 TorqueFlite  automatic only.
