The GTO for the ’64 and ’65 model years were an optional power package for the Pontiac Tempest. The base package came with a four barrel Carter AFB carburetor, but there was also a further option of “tri-power”-three two barrel Rochester carburetors then add the standard floor mounted four speed transmission with the Hurst shifter for the ultimate factory performance.
