On the road again: Retired truck driver builds unique 1970s muscle car
A loud vibration ruminates from the racing exhaust of a local Rio Rancho man’s hot rod, echoing off the walls of the homes that line his street.
Robert Wiater, a hot rod enthusiast and retired truck driver, rolls his 1970 Impala out of his garage to give it an inspection in the sunlight.
He says he’s spent more than 12 years buying parts and wrenching on his Impala as a labor of love.
