Not all of us can go out there and spend the money on a new car. Some of us are, as they say, “Ballin on a budget.” That doesn’t mean we don’t want to go […]

Think you can guess the year, make, and model of this classic beauty? Here’s a hint: it’s got more muscle than a weightlifting competition and enough style to make a catwalk jealous. Take a peek at this Pontiac Firebird, sporting curves that could make a racetrack blush and a paint job smoother than a jazz saxophonist. If cars could talk, this one would probably say, “I’m not just a pretty face; I’ve got horsepower to boot!” Can you pin down this automotive masterpiece?

In June 1976, cruising Gratiot Avenue, I was sure my beefed-up ’67 Barracuda was unbeatable—until a Pontiac 2+2 convertible rolled up. With a 421 tri-power engine, it left me red-faced and $50 lighter. This rare beast, a big brother to the GTO, packed 376 HP and 461 ft. lbs. of torque. Though never hitting GTO sales, it wowed with dual exhausts and heavy-duty springs. The 2+2 even tried a comeback in ’86, but like my race victory that day, it was short-lived!

Next time you’re cruising around Adelaide, Australia, keep an eye out for Alf’s stunning 1965 Chevy II Nova SS. This red beauty, imported in 2008, flaunts original California plates and a 283 engine paired with a two-speed PowerGlide transmission. Alf’s dedication to authenticity shines, though he’s added some cheeky dual exhaust Flowmaster mufflers for a power boost. Spot the car, say “g’day” to Alf, and maybe get a peek into its feathered-paint-damaged past. Just don’t mention the missing A/C!

In the ultimate showdown between horsepower and hair power, we present: The Mustang vs. The Blonde – a battle that revs up more than just engines! Picture this: a classic muscle car gleaming under the sun, ready to burn rubber, while a dazzling blonde stands by, stealing the spotlight with a smile that could stop traffic. Who wins? That’s up to you, but remember, both have curves that could take you on the ride of a lifetime. Pick wisely, or better yet, why choose at all?
