The 1962 to ’64 Impala were very popular when they were new and are still among the most collectible Chevy’s ever produced. The ’62 model year the turbo-thrift 230 cu in (3.8 L) is the entry level, but there are three small block V8 engines available as options. The Turbo Fire 283 cu in (4.6 L) is available as well as a 327 which is a bored version of the same engine.
