Dodge Charger 1971 images

The 1971 Dodge Charger rolled out with a fresh look, as if it had just come from the muscle car spa. Now 115 inches long, it’s on a diet, shedding 2 inches but still packing a punch with six models to choose from. With 82,681 Chargers built, it was a roaring success, though only 85 brave souls got the Hemi engine and 277 the legendary 440 six-pack. It’s like finding the golden ticket in your chocolate bar! Shoutout to Gateway Classic Cars for the drool-worthy images.

The first year of the  G3, B body Charger is 1971 and most visible changes are cosmetic. The entire line-up of Chrysler products have been modified to meet the latest EPA mandated emission control measures and  there are new safety regulations in place as well. The latest Charger is now 115 inches long, a full 2 inches shorter than previously and there are now six Charger models to choose from. There were 82,681 Chargers built during 1971, making it a successful year for the model, of those, only 85 units are powered by the Hemi engine and 277 units are assembled with the 440 six-pack.
