  1. Only if your flow from your headers or manifold is ment for it. Sometimes not enough back pressure is bad

  2. That’s a 600hp motor. I killed my stock crown Victoria which only has 240hp by putting big pipes on it.

  3. I have a stock challenger rt and have been wanting to put magnaflow to give it a good sound. But thats it. Any suggestions?

    1. Good choice. Great “sound” ( not raspy and actually gives a decent power boost on these cars) I think it actually gives a 20-30 hp gain without having to “reflash” the computer, plus it shaves 30-40 pounds of weight which on a new Challenger is nevr a bad thing.

    2. I saw a show on TV ( not sure if it was “Engine Power” or on of the others I watch. It was on about 2 or 3 year ago and was on a 2014 or earlier Challenger ) I think, just remember it was the year it made around 425 hp) actually believe the “Catback” system shaved more like 40-60 lbs and the hp gain may have been at or just beyond the 30 hp that I stated with a similar increase in torque. They may have also added a quality cold air intake system, but I’m pretty sure they d it in stages and the cat back system alone made more hp an saved the weight. It was a while ago so I’ not sure of the numbers but I do remember it wasn’t the 6-10 hp some system make, and the newer cars have almost that kind of hp already but the stock exhausts are notoriously heavy and a bit restrictive. Have you tried the Magnaflow website? Punch in your year and I’m pretty sure they have a dyno chart that shows what the difference would be.

  4. I had 2 1/2″ on a 454 in my 77 Malibu turned out behind the tires with 3 chambered Flowmasters it went 12.84 … later I put on 3″ exhaust with 3 1/2″ race Flowmasters turned down in front of the rear end it went 12.48 first pass and later went 12.20s.

  5. I didn’t need to watch video to know that answer..that’s been old news a long time
