At the 2017 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Dodge revved up excitement by showcasing a vibrant lineup of high-performance vehicles that scream, “I’m fast, and I know it!” Attendees were treated to a visual feast of colorful cars and got to indulge their inner speed demon with a virtual ride in a Hellcat Challenger. It’s safe to say Dodge made its point clear: they’re not just showing up, they’re showing off, and they’re doing it with flair and horsepower to spare!

“There’s a place in America where you can almost see Russia,” quips Kevin Yon, setting the stage for a quirky revelation: “which means there’s a place in Russia where you can definitely HEAR America.” The ad wraps up with the cheeky tagline, “Domestic. Not Domesticated,” suggesting that while some cars might be confined to their garages, others are revving up for a cross-continental shout-out.

Chevrolet SS, the car everyone loved but nobody bought, is officially hitting the brakes after 2017. General Motors North America President Alan Batey announced this sad news at the Detroit Auto Show, leaving car enthusiasts shaking their heads in disbelief. The SS, with its roots in Australia, will cease production as GM wraps up its operations down under. It seems the SS was the wallflower of the automotive prom—underrated, unnoticed, and now, unfortunately, unavailable.

Get ready to feast your eyes on the legendary 1969 Dodge Super Bee! Born from the Chrysler “B” body platform, this mid-size marvel took a page from the Roadrunner and Charger playbook, cruising onto the scene with an irresistible swagger. In ’68, it strutted as a pillared hardtop, but by ’69, it went topless—pillarless, that is! Under the hood, you’ll find engines that roar louder than a rock concert: the 383 Magnum, 440 Six Pack, or the mighty 426 Hemi. Our thanks to Gateway Classic Cars for these drool-worthy images!

At the Detroit Auto Show, a Roseville mom transformed into a futuristic explorer, courtesy of Ford’s Virtual Reality Express. With an Oculus headset snugly in place, she embarked on a wild ride into tomorrowland, where drones are the new taxis, self-driving cars handle the school run, and the youth have mastered the art of car-sharing. It’s a brave new world of transportation—just don’t ask about the in-flight snacks yet!
