At the 2015 Good Guys West Coast Nationals, two members of the Bay Area Engine Modelers set up something that stopped people mid-stride: a fully functional overhead-valve V8 displacing 6.3 cubic inches, wearing a supercharger, producing a documented 16 horsepower, and sounding like nothing its size has any right to. The whole V8 displaces roughly an eighth of what one cylinder of a 426 Hemi does. Here is why that is far harder than it looks.
