As Dodge wound down production of its most unhinged sports car, D3 Performance Engineering decided the Viper deserved a proper send-off. Starting with a track-focused Gen V ACR, the shop added an F1X Procharger and a Nitrous Express kit to push the V10 past 900 horsepower, then took the car to the most demanding stretch of asphalt in the world to prove it. The result: D3 now holds the record for the quickest Gen V Viper on earth.
A Kelly Bise Racing twin-turbo Corvette attempted a 200-mph pass at the WannaGoFast Texas Half Mile packing an estimated 3,000 horsepower from twin 88mm turbos and a 427-cubic-inch engine — and lost the fight for traction over 300 feet before going airborne above a public road. The parachute tore loose mid-spin, leaving the driver to save the car with nothing but reflexes and a well-built chassis. Watch to see how close this run came to a very different ending.
