The donor was a totaled Yenko/SC Stage I Camaro. In its 2024 form, Specialty Vehicle Engineering — the company that builds modern cars under the Yenko name — rated the Stage I at 1,150 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. That number does not come from a bolt-on kit. SVE takes the factory 6.2-liter LT1, opens it up to 6.8 liters (416 cubic inches), fits a forged rotating assembly, CNC-ported LT4-style cylinder heads, and a twin-screw supercharger driven by a dedicated 10-rib belt. Worth noting for anyone reading the video description closely: SVE’s 2024 cars use the company’s own 3.0-liter twin-screw blower rather than an off-the-shelf Whipple unit, so the “Whipple” shorthand floating around the comments isn’t quite right.

These were never volume cars. SVE planned only around fifty Stage I builds for the 2024 model year, which makes the idea of one of them being wrecked hard enough to strip genuinely painful. His final Camaro conversion was the 1981 Turbo Z, of which only 19 were made. Yenko died on March 5, 1987, when his Cessna 210 crashed near Charleston, West Virginia.
