Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst/Olds 1971 images

Beginning in 1961 the Cutlass was the top trim choice for the compact Oldsmobile F-85, but the Cutlass name had its greatest success as a mid-size vehicle, from 1964 through the early ’70’s. The Brand was known to be fast, comfortable and dependable; it remains a formidable and imposing muscle car today. There were a number of Cutlass variations including the Supreme, 4-4-2 and Hurst/Olds. Shown here is the 3rd of 25 prototypes tweaked to be a contender as the ’72 Indy 500 pace car. These special edition Hurst/Olds were all powered by the legendary 350 Rocket V8 engine.
