Cars We Remember: Dodge Red Ram and other Hemi engine memories
Specifically, the 1953 Dodge Hemi was a smaller version of the 1951 Chrysler 331 Hemi V8, which was the very first Hemi that Chrysler introduced to the market. The engine in the Dodge for 1953 measured only 241 cubic inches and produced 140-horsepower. The Dodge line called this engine the “Red Ram” Hemi, and it was equipped with red valve covers that had name Red Ram letters scripted into the valve covers.

I had one of these it was actually pretty fast
We had a 54 Dodge with the Red Ram. I think it was 240 cu. in. With a 2 bbl. and 2 speed automatic (power flite).
