Paint & Body Tips & Tech in the April 2017 Issue of Muscle Car Review
For those in the latter camp we interviewed several muscle car painters (Bob Perkins of Bob Perkins Restorations, Jason White of Jason White Restorations, and Ken Maisano of MASCAR Classics) to get their tips and advice on how to hire a painter and work with a paint shop. We have all heard horror stories of cars disappearing into paint shop purgatory for months or even years, with no work done. This story should help our readers avoid that mistake.

Originally, Pontiac had planned to build nearly 5,000 of these cars, but they ran into some problems with the mold that was used to make the ducktail spoilers. Instead of fixing the issue, they decided to call a halt to production. In the end, only 1377 Can Am's were built. They were packing a 6.6L 400 cu in V8, a Heavy Duty TH400 trans, and the RTS Rally Suspension Package. The #horsepower wasn't amazing #V8 #built
