1964 Ford Fairlane 427 Thunderbolt
The car-buying public thought differently of racing in the early 1960s, and the American automakers knew that cars that won races were great tools to drive customers to dealer showrooms. You know the old saying, what “won on Sunday sold on Monday”.
This 1964 Ford Thunderbolt is a great example of such a machine, a car that still looked recognizable to the masses as a new 1964 Fairlane, but had the chops to get the job done in Super Stock drag racing.
