1968 Ford Torino GT in Red Paint & 428 CJ Cobra Jet Engine
We’re looking at a 1968 Ford Torino in Candy Apple Red Paint with a 428 Cobra Jet “CJ“ engine. Introduced on April 1, 1968, the 428 cu in (7.0 L) – 4V CJ (Cobra-Jet) engine became available as an engine option, but due to its mid-year introduction these engines are very rare.

Originally, Pontiac had planned to build nearly 5,000 of these cars, but they ran into some problems with the mold that was used to make the ducktail spoilers. Instead of fixing the issue, they decided to call a halt to production. In the end, only 1377 Can Am's were built. They were packing a 6.6L 400 cu in V8, a Heavy Duty TH400 trans, and the RTS Rally Suspension Package. The #horsepower wasn't amazing #V8 #built

Loved the style of this Fairlane with the 390 cu. in. Engine. I know they weren’t the fastest but they kept there place in the muscle car wars.
