Street Race Gone Wrong…Trans AM Gets LOOSE and GOES Towards the CROWD!
We have said it a million times but we have to say it again, “Motorsport Is Dangerous” and there are just no two ways about it.
The danger of a big metal mass moving without control at a very high rate of speed is ever-present when people go racing.
Yes the drivers are usually pretty skilled and have big experience with taming their metal beasts but being a racing driver means that you will be pushing the vehicle past its limits and lose control at some point.
In order to prevent injuries when this happens the organizers do their best to work up a safety plan for everybody to follow consisted of a number of precautions points.
What happens at illegal racing? Well that’s a thing that is totally up to the common sense of the spectators, and their experience around a track.
The more experienced ones, the ones that have seen number of crashes will know to stand close to the starting line where the speeds are much lower and the car is easier to control, the rest, well just like in this video will have to rely on their luck.

Sorry a street race anything could happen maybe fans shouldn’t stand so close to where the race is going on at u have fast cars with big motors in them hell the guys can hit the gas n the car can blow up n stuff will fly why u think nascar has all it has between the people n the race track for its for the people’s safety

Those were quarter mile cars anyway,didn’t belong on the streets to begin with,take it to the track.
Well, be fair, only one of ’em stayed on the street, the other went looking for four-leaf-clover. Who knew a vehicle that’d struggle to stay glued down on a PJ1 treated surface would get squirrely on a piece of blacktop where it’d only been “treated” by oil leaks from passing cars?

I was a street racer my last ticket was 135 mph in a 35 mph zone . I was stupid young and foolish. All street drag racing is illegal dangerous and stupid !! If you race keep it on the track. All these tv shows about street racing only encourage this lawless act . You or some other person will lose there life .
Race or not .. Nonone should be standing that close to either of those cars . If one of them had mechanical failure, tranny locks up , whatever ..,
Any of those “spectators ” are wearing flying parts !!
That’s why there’s what we like to call RACE TRACKS !
