The Very First Dodge Viper revealed & how it got its name

The new 2013 SRT Viper is the 5th generation of the iconic American sports car. In fact you may not know this but the very first Viper Roadster wasn’t even a V-10…it was a V-8. Welcome to TFLcar’s Viper week. Over 5 days we’ll be featuring a new Viper video every day. Today we continue with a video that profiles the very first Viper Roadster of them all, as well as the new Viper‘s Chief Powertrain engineer. Why? Because he’s one of the few engineers that’s been with the Viper program at Dodge since 1989 when the very first Viper Mule was conceived and built. Check out this video to learn about the early days of the Viper and how it got it’s name.
