Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 1965 images
The 327 is made a regular production order (RPO) engine for 1965 and there were also a total of 201 units of the Malibu SS396 big block Z-16 roll off the assembly line that year. There were a grand total of 294,160 Chevelle cars sold in ’65 and that includes the SS versions. The last year for the Malibu SS is ’65 in the States, but Canada kept the badge until the end of ’67. There are still, in 2017, 75 units of the original Z-16 Malibu SS396 documented to still exist.
