The Fastest American Built Car Has 1,244 HP and is…..
… not seen often as only a handful have been built. I guess everything is bigger in Texas…. and faster!
The mythical Venom GT built in Sealy Texas has 1,244 HP and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 427 cu in GM LSX engine. It produces 1,155 lb-ft of torque and can rev to 7,200 rpm.
It rockets 0-100 miles per hour in 5.6 seconds, 0-60 in 2.5 seconds and has a 270 mph top speed, thanks to that 1,244 horsepower, 7.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This makes the Venom GT easily the fastest road car to ever come from America.
The mid-engine V8 is matched to the rear wheels with a Ricardo 6-speed manual transmission, which was also used in the Ford GT.
Bring on the Shelby Super Snake. It may have a hard time catching Venom!
