The 1962 Ford Falcon is not available with a V8 this year, although the more uptown trim level “Futura” is added to the option list, Mid-way through the ’62 model year the Falcon could be ordered with a four speed manual transmission in addition to the basic 3 speed manual or the two speed automatic. There are eight body styles on the table in’62 and Ford is poised to lanch a V8 version, wanting to maximize returns on the very successful Falcon.
