Review/Breakdown: 1970 Buick GSX 455 Stage 1 4-Speed

Here’s one for the Buick fans… a 1970 Buick GSX 455 Stage 1 4-Speed in Saturn Yellow! Buick made 678 of these luxo-rockets in 1970, and they were certainly out of character for the Buick brand. Producing 360 horsepower and 510 ft. lbs. of torque, these capable street brawlers were running with the fastest Muscle Cars from any manufacturer. In fact, Motor Trend Magazine clocked a Stage 1 car tripping the lights in 13.35 seconds @ 105.5 mph in ’70, fast enough to be called their quickest test of 1970. The Brothers Collection never disappoints, and it certainly appeals to all Muscle Car brands.

  1. My first car 1965 Buick Riviera gs dual carbs kicked ass 140-plus mile per hour

  2. Have loved these GSX’s ever since the first time I saw one as a kid!

    1. Always thought I would own one by now. Loved these cars when I was 18. This is my favorite muscle car.

  3. In 1974 I had a 70 rag top 455 4-speed with air. It was Sherwood green with a white top and black and white interior. Sure do miss that car. This Nova I have owned for 34yrs.

  4. I wish they would do it again i hate all the 4 door Grandma cars they build today
