COMET TORCHES HELLCAT! ’62 MERCURY COMET VS ’15 DODGE CHALLENGER HELLCAT AT RT66!
Rich Kent’s ’62 Mercury Comet 429ci BBF E85 fueled 3675lb “Street Car” being tested by his son in law comes up against a new ’15 Dodge Challenger Hellcat 707hp Supercharged 6.2 Hemi on premium fuel no doubt lol at RT 66 Test N tune 4-25-15. The Comet gets the jump wheels up and runs [email protected] as the Hellcat spins off the line and comes on strong to run a [email protected] mph. Mind you this is the Hellcat that ran a [email protected] a week before on drag radials. So is this race fair seeing both are in “Street Trim”? Make sure you watch till the end of the video to see the 10.87 Hellcat run. Let the controversy and haters begin…

For one no it didn’t.
Because we know the Dodge Demon is a 10 second car.
I think the demon was just showing respect for its Elder
It’s not a demon, just a standard hellcat.
All these videos are bs no way that call can beat a car that has over 700 horsepower
The major problem with the HellCat is that it is way too heavy.
Brian D. Greer that’s true
True
You know the comet wasn’t a street car
Oval track is real racing
GRAND PRIX!!!!!

The guy in the Comet must’ve really been pedalling! Lol! Whoever was driving the Hellcat, not even trying!
Hellkittens are junk period.
