Devin Roadster 1958 images

An Oklahoma son, Bill Devon created kit cars and racing cars (SCCA-C-modified class) throughout the 1950’s and 60’s. Bill can claim many firsts for innovation, but possibly his greatest claim to fame is he was the first person to use a rubber-toothed belt to drive an overhead camshaft. His design actually powered a DOHC (dual over head camshaft). The roadster imaged here has a 383 CID V8 engine under the hood, coupled to a 3 speed automatic transmission.
