November 2012 came an announcement that a Roadster version of the Aventador sedan would go into production for the 2013 model year and this new version will match the performance of the sedan even though it is 50 kg heavier. The rear pillar of the Roadster will be reinforced and accommodate the mid-mounted engine ventilation system also for roll over protection as well as to make up for the loss of structural strength due to the removable carbon-fiber roof panels which weigh six kg (13 lbs) each and they will fit into a storage area in the front storage area. The roof inserts, A-pillars, windshield header, and rear window area will be painted gloss black.
The Adventador “J” concept car is roofless and without windows and equipped with the same V12 engine as the Adventador LP 700-4 although it is lacking in a few creature comforts such as air con and radio to save extra weight also with a light weight automatic seven speed transmission will produce 700 hp. This concept car was sold for the price of 2.8 million U.S. with another unique model made for the Shaikh Al Yahyaa as a gift for a family member with no disclosure of the amount paid for it.

There is an Aventador LP 720-4 – 50 degree/50th anniversary limited edition with 100 coupe being produced in 2013. The anniversary car comes in “yellow may” paint only with highly reflective particles with clear coats layered on top. Two tone black trim body parts, an anniversary emblem, and leather seats finish the package. This coupe model produces 710 bhp (530 kW; 720 PS) due to the enlarged and extended front air intake sand a newly styled rear with an extra large defuser and expansive meshing which not only improves the engine cooling but also passenger compartment ventilation. The small flaps set into the sides and the splitter are both designed to increase the aerodynamics.
